Yorgos Foudoulis was born in Volos, Greece.
From a young age he chose the paths of music making
integrated studies at Conservatories and
Universities in Greece and abroad, where he
graduated as a distinguished with honors obtaining
Guitar Diplomas, Composition and Music Theory
Diplomas, Master and Doctorate.
He also
took part
in major international
events in
Greece
and abroad, where he got
many awards and honorary
distinctions.
His professional activity is summarized as follows:
Soloist - Professor of Guitar and Composer with an
international career and a significant presence in
discography and bibliography, Conservatory Owner and
Director, Manager specializing in cultural
management.
He has permanent artistic cooperation with the
countries: Italy, England, Poland, Canada, USA,
Russia, Germany, Portugal, China, Bulgaria, Serbia,
Croatia, Cuba, Lebanon, Cyprus, Ms.
Since 1982, he works as a teacher in many
conservatories, universities and major cultural
organizations in Greece and abroad.
Hundreds of
guitarists
and
musicians who make a career
either as
a soloist or as
teachers
have graduated from his
class.
In 1991 he founded Foudoulis’ Conservatory in Volos
(approved by the Greek Ministry of Culture), which
works with distinguished teachers and artists and
organizes special courses, events, seminars,
festivals, etc.
From 2004 to 2006 he was the Director of the
Municipal Conservatory of Giannitsa providing
significant work and creating new cultural
institutions in Giannitsa.
In 2010 he founded the “Multispace of Art” in Volos,
a vibrant cultural space which hosts many events
every day and it is a model and a reference point
for Greek and international cultural events.
He directs Foudoulis’ Conservatory, the Examination
Centre of Trinity College London and Century
University based in Volos, the International Art
Society & Academy and the EYF management.
Until today he planned and successfully implemented
more than 300 international events (festivals,
conferences, etc) and hundreds of local and regional
events.
He is the representative of many foreign
universities in Greece.
He is also the artistic director of many well
established annual international festivals.
He is associate of BBC and since 2008 he is
consultant and producer of BERBEN publishing company
(Italy).
